As most everyone in the AHRMA and TVRC community knows, 2023 marked the final year for the Diamond Dons Riverfront AHRMA National.

I’m sure most have seen the 2024 AHRMA schedule, but for those who haven’t we are excited to announce that Johnsonville Mx Farm will be filling the September 20-22, 2024 with the HAYSEED AHRMA NATIONAL.  We will be offering Cross Country, Vintage and Post Vintage racing for the weekend.  We will also have a great 26 mile Tiddler Ride layed out. (Possibly 50 mile dual sport) on the backroads around our little town of Yantis.

Although Yantis isn’t the historic destination Jefferson is, we do have a few conveniences, you can ride pit vehicle to, like a Dollar General, Family Dollar and the Yantis Cafe.

Johnsonville Mx Farm is conveniently located south of I-30 15 miles and we are just 45 minutes north of I-20.  Johnsonville Mx Farm is lucky enough to be located in between 4 other towns, 3 of which are County Seats. Historic Sulphur Springs to the north 15 miles is located on I-30 and has everything you need. Three major hotels and other lodging along with Brookshires, Wal-Mart, Lowe’s, Tractor Supply, Harbor Freight & Atwoods.  Also, three major auto parts store chains.  The historic courthouse square has several locally owned restaurants and shops in the 150 year old buildings.

Most of the fast food chains are represented in Sulphur Springs (ie..Chick-, fil-a, Burger King, Wendy’s, Sonic, DQ,  Braums, Whataburger, McAlisters, Popeyes, Arbys, as well as Starbucks & Dutch Bros).

Winnsboro….which is to the east 22 miles also has a few good locally owned restaurants (Barrel House is our favorite) along with DQ, McDonalds, Sonic & Pizza Inn. There is also a couple chain autoparts stores, ABC and O’Reilly.

Emory….(Rains county seat) is to our west 12 , miles offering a Brookshires for groceries, Sonic, DQ, Marshall BBQ, Whataburger, Pizza Hut, Blazin Pizza Co., Sidekicks Bar & Grill with live entertainment.  Emory also has a Best Western hotel and more lodging. There is also a new liquor store.

Quitman…which is to the south 12 miles is a quiet little county seat town with a small motel, Brookshires, Sonic, Peraltas Mexican Restaurant, DQ, Milanos Pizza, Red Dome Grill and Seth’s Lake Fork Creek (creole). H&H package store (closest liquor) is also in Quitman.

World Famous big bass lake, Lake Fork, is just down the road with all types of lodging and restaurants scattered around the lake. Oak Ridge Cafe/Marina & lodging, Go Fish Cafe, Bro’s Crawfish, Jamies Restaurant, Verona Italian, Fish House Buffet and of course The NEON MOON which hosts big acts such as the Bellamy Brothers, Mark Chestnutt, Brandon Kruger & the 222′s and many more.

Neon Moon is having a concert Friday, September 20th with the Damn Quails and also Saturday, September 21st, with Ex-Motocross rider Brandon Kruger & The 222’s.
